STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擭ow offering more than 400 programs, 海角社区鈥檚 Center for Continuing Education has designed paths for anyone pursuing professional and personal growth.
CCE, housed in the College of Professional and Continuing Studies, provides professionals with certifications and credentials to advance their careers, while also providing enrichment opportunities for lifelong learning. Amber Shultice, CCE manager, highlights the flexibility of these programs, most of which are fully online, self-paced and tailored to fit the schedules of working professionals.
The university partners with various state agencies, university entities and industry experts to offer diverse programs, including K-12 continuing education units, asbestos and lead training, online advanced career training certifications, OSHA trainings and many other non-academic credit courses designed for career advancement.
鈥淥ur focus is on upskilling individuals who are working and need certifications to secure promotions, raises, or new opportunities,鈥 Shultice said. 鈥淭he online, open-enrollment structure caters to non-traditional learners by allowing them to progress entirely on their own schedules.鈥
In addition to professional development, CCE provides opportunities for personal development and enrichment. Susan Seal, CPCS dean, said the center is revamping and increasing its offerings for these enrichment opportunities ranging from wine education to building a personal brand.鈥澛犅
鈥The CCE empowers people to grow professionally beyond traditional, academic education, while also supporting their personal journeys to pursue their passions and interests,鈥 Seal said.
